She loved that futon

Everyday Kendyl love, love, loves climbing on the futon and looking out the window.

And now it's gone.

Kendyl cried hysterically when some people came to buy our futon and started carrying it out the door. She did the same to our couch that we also sold a few weeks ago and from experience knew that it probably wasn't ever coming back.

Poor girl.

The boys who came to pick it up actually thought they jammed her fingers in it or something- that's how hard she was crying. She was red-faced with tears pouring off her face.

We'll just have to make sure she's out of the house when we move the rest if the stuff.

And to think she didn't even cry that hard when we boxed up all her toys.

And yes, this would all be funny if it wasn't so...sad.

This place is a zoo...literally.

Today we went to the IF zoo. We were there 1 1/2 hours and saw every exhibit twice. But it was pretty fun being there with Kendyl who LOVES animals right now- although it took her a while to warm up.
Only in Idaho (I think) do they have a farm exhibit.
She really wanted to go in.
Her favorite was the baby goat. I have no idea why.

The lazy lions who would not move at all, despite Kendyl's attempts of roaring at them.

And the best part, of course, was a blue sucker on the way home.

dilly bars, laptops, and bathing suits...

are her favorite things.

but then who doesn't love dilly bars?

or killing time on their laptop?

(she came running in my room wearing this outfit plus her fuzzy snow hat on Sun. afternoon. she's into picking out her own clothes these days and her daddy obliges.)
or wearing their swimsuit...especially if you have her legs!

San Francisco

I decided I'm slowly going to post pictures of our adventures over the last month. These are from when we were in San Francisco at the very beginning of April.

View overlooking the lobby in our hotel.
It was probably the nicest hotel I'd ever been in but since it was a business hotel it had no pool or free breakfast. There was a snack bar in the room that had sensors that would charge you if you touched the food in it. I've never been more tempted to have a $5 bag of M&Ms. The only TV channels were news stations. (And I was so looking forward to watching HGTV, the food network, and tvland.) Basically I would have traded it all for a Best Western with a pastry in the morning, a jacuzzi, and a little Bewitched.....but really it was fun.

and the bed was SUPER comfortable
the view from our room was pretty amazing too
here's me doing what I do best on vacations....reading/sleeping?

Nathan with his poster that he was presenting, which was basically the whole reason why were there.
Ferry Building on the Embarcadero
April 1st and a crowd celebrating by holding a pointless protest. They were all dressed up in super crazy costumes and funny signs. It was pretty funny until the nudists (don't worry-not pictured) showed up.
The Vashers drove up and we went to lunch and walked around Fisherman's Wharf.
San Francisco seemed to be rubbing off on Nate and Joey.
Kendyl enjoying being 7 feet tall for the day.
