My 2 month break

...started today. Kendyl went to nursery! So no more pacing the halls at church, packing a bag stuffed with toys and fruit snacks, and missing 5/6 of Relief Society....well at least for 2 months.

I didn't stay very long with Kendyl in nursery, so she wouldn't get used to having me there. And usually there are no problems when I do have to leave her at a friend's house. And she was totally fine when she got there. Didn't care if I stayed or left. And I would like to say that she looked like this when I left:
but of course it was more like this:
(pic above is not of Kendyl. first google image for "toddlers shoving")

We are still "working" on the concept of sharing and no hitting. But it is a little hard when there are no other kids at home to learn to share with.
In the 5 minutes total I was there, she probably got at least 15 good shoves in.

So here's to hoping that she'll pick it up real fast and in the meantime the other kids won't end up with black eyes.
But either way she sure looked cute.
(sorry for the fuzzy pic. we really do need to buy a real camera....someday)

Oh Kendyl, I promise it will be winter soon enough!

I know our house is not this cold (it was 90 degrees outside), but for some reason she loves her winter clothes.
I keep on boxing up her too-small winter coat, and she keeps on finding it.
I just love the mullet peeking out it the pic above.
Gotta love hat hair.

Smarties

The purpose of this post is to brag just a little......but not about me so that makes it okay (?)

My husband is a smarty.
Apparently all those long days and very, very, very early mornings paid off.
He made it through his first quarter in only 4 weeks....and with a 4.0.
Congratulations Nathan!

Our first visitors....

literally.... besides the missionaries who we fed once.... came all the way from CA a few weeks ago.
Gramma and Auntie Laurel flew in "on the way home" from dropping cousin Will and Sadie off in Tremonton, UT.
And with them they brought a working camera.  So here are of few pictures that we finally got.

Kendyl and Gramma
Kendyl (wearing a dress I made out of a maternity top)
Nathan doing what he does best (or rather most)...homework
We look sooo happy here
Kendyl playing with her new Play-doh. I have since learned better and have hidden it away. She can occasionally play with the white. And the extra Play-doh cutouts make excellent bath toys.

Gramma reading Kendyl's books (without Kendyl)
Don't know what I am doing here but Laurel's cute.
The three girls!

I WILL go crazy

if I watch these one more time!
Its pretty sad when your kid wakes up and the first thing she says is "mooo, mooo!!" (translation: "movie, movie!!")

Look at those glazed-over eyes.
I think we will go on a walk.
